The Indian Chess School, also fondly known as ICS, was founded by FIDE Instructor Praful Zaveri in the year 1995. It has now established itself as India’s premier Chess training School. The students from the school are regularly winning prizes at the National/State/District/Inter-School Chess Tournaments. Besides, a good number of trainees from have also been able to obtain their International FIDE Ratings.

Since inception, the School is functioning at the Bima Nagar Education Society, Opp. Shanti Ashram Bus Depot, Borivali (West), Mumbai – 400103 and now, the administrators of the Don Bosco High School, Borivali & Matunga have been kind enough to allow Indian Chess School to open an International Standard Chess School at its premises.

This endeavor is helping us to bring Chess lessons into the classes, so that the gifted students will get the best opportunities to pursue the game intensively and achieve Chess excellence!!

The School is equipped with Chess Sets, Chess Clocks, Chess Tables, Chess Books and the lessons are projected on a big screen.
