‘Open House’ Session:
An ‘Open-House’ Session is arranged at the conclusion of the course and parents are offered feedback on the progress of the child.
Inter-Class Tournaments:
The ultimate test and joy of a student of Chess is tournaments!! And, that is the reason why we conduct regular Inter-Class Chess Tournaments for our students. The tournament is normally conducted under the four categories; namely Under-08, Under-10, Under-12 and Open Group. It’s held on a 5-Round Swiss League basis with a time-control of 25m+10s/Player. To help them perform better in outside tournaments of importance, the students are compulsorily required to record the game. This event is absolutely free for all our students and no entry fee is charged from them!
Encouraging Participation in Outside Events:
The motto of the Indian Chess School is to create a Chess Culture by encouraging our trainees to participate in various levels of Chess Tournaments at the following levels:
- Inter-School Chess Tournaments
- District Level Chess Tournaments
- State Championships/Selection Trials
- FIDE Rating Chess Tournaments
- National Championships
- International Chess Tournaments
Students from the School have participated in such events held at Pune, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Goa, Chennai, Mangalore, Bangalore, Baroda, Jabalpur, Ahmedabad & Delhi.
Students from the School have also participated in the international events held at Malaysia, Dubai, Turkey and Singapore.
Wherever feasible, the students are accompanied by one of the trainer from the School so as to help them perform better in the tournaments.
Conducting Tournaments of Importance:
Indian Chess School has an admirable track record of conducting tournaments like FIDE Rating and Inter-School Chess Tournaments for children. Such events also helps the trainees of our School to test their Chess strength against stronger players, which ultimately help them in their endeavour to become FIDE Rated players.
