The curriculum consists of 45 lessons, interactive exercises, tournaments, and workshops, ensuring a well-rounded and immersive learning experience.

Lesson Plan for “Mastermind Chess”

Course Overview:

Curriculum Details:

1. Lessons & Exercises:
   • The course consists of 45 lessons, each followed by exercises designed to reinforce the concepts taught.
   • Each lesson focuses on developing specific chess skills, from basic tactics to more advanced strategies.
2. Teaching Method:
   • Teacher’s Role: The teacher will introduce each lesson to the students, explaining key concepts and strategies.
   • Exercises: After the lesson, students will complete exercises in their workbooks. The teacher should ensure the exercises are completed accurately.
   • Correction: Once a chapter is completed, the teacher will collect the books and check the answers for correctness.
   • Scoring: Each correct answer is worth 10 marks. Teachers should record the total score in the Final Appraisal Report and note the date of completion in the Course Completion Report (both provided at the end of the book).
3. Final Scoring:
   • The total number of questions in the book is 470, with a total of 4700 marks possible.
   • At the end of the course, the teacher will record the total marks scored by the student.
4. Course Completion Certificate:
   • Upon successfully completing the course, the school will award a Course Completion Certificate to the students.

   • Two examinations will be conducted—Semester-I and Semester-II—at the midpoint and end of the academic term.

Tournaments:

   • Participation Marks: 100 marks per tournament, for a total of 200 marks.
   • Awards: Trophies and medals may be awarded to the top 3 winners.

   • The workshop will combine timeless chess history with elements of mythology, as introduced in the book Shata, Shata Vande Chess by the author.
